Excellent, brilliant, just what I was looking for. The book now looks like I've had it for years and has loads of sticky markers all over it. And you'll be pleased to know (I think) that even though a big chunk of things I already did, I've now become more aware and refined, honed and adapted using the suggestions and tips and I've been using/applying it all over the last two weeks with fantastic results. This week however I've had phenomenal reactions from the sales staff in the classroom sessions I've been running. So a very big THANK YOU.

If you are wanting an NLP book to read – go elsewhere. Peter Freeth is about doing stuff that works. Put the tools and techniques he suggests into action and you will see amazing results in your business, professional and personal life.  I have no doubt that Peter is on course to be one of the most influential and effective leadership guides of the early 21st century.  If you’ve encountered Peter before, you’ll probably already have this book. If you haven’t – be prepared for a fundamental shift in your approach to business. He really is that good

Neuro Linguistic Programming is the study of how we build a unique, subjective map of the world we live in, and then interact with that map as our guide to reality. Essentially, NLP is a study of behaviour and communication that pulls together many strands of psychological and therapeutic science into a single, growing body of knowledge that is concerned not with what's wrong with people but with what's right with them. Assuming that people work perfectly, and are acting normally with respect to their map of the world, is certainly an approach that leads to different results than just labeling people "wrong" or "broken". This is just one of the ways that NLP brings a fundamentally different viewpoint that leads to different results. After all, if you want the same results as you've had in the past, do what you've done in the past. If you want different results, do something different.

In the business world, we can use NLP to model intuitive talents and skills and pass those skills onto other people. We can use NLP's models of communications and behaviour to improve customer relationships, increase the effectiveness of sales people, help managers and leaders to become more purposeful and empathic and help anyone in a business be more effective at what they do.

NLP's roots were in therapeutic applications and this is still reflected today in the way that NLP is marketed and applied by most trainers. After only 30 years, NLP is becoming widely accepted in business, although it hasn't reached the level of explicit adoption of, say, psychometric profiling and organisational psychology. In fact all of these different tools demonstrate similar underlying principles and so it's no surprise to find them co-existing.

NLP in Business was set up to provide exactly the kind of information that many NLP training providers are unable to give you - how is NLP used in business, what are the benefits of NLP and how do I learn more about NLP as a business tool. We're always looking for more information, case studies, reports and stories and so if you have anything to contribute, let us know.

NLP is simply the study of excellence, and every business should know what skills and talents underpin success. As more and more businesses learn about NLP, either directly or through many of the training and consultancy products that use NLP, you may think that the advantage to any one organisation is lost - In fact, it's the reverse. NLP isn't a unique tool that you must keep to yourself - it's a way of refining what you already do, a way of improving the talents and expertise you already have. If you have good customer service now, it will become amazing. If your sales people are successful, they'll be unstoppable. If your leaders are effective now, they'll become visionaries. If every organisation adopted the principles and practice of NLP, every organisation would have the potential to become the ideal supplier, customer and business partner - and that has to be good for everyone. Obviously, that's not going to happen tomorrow, so your competetive advantage is still safeguarding your investment in NLP training.

NLP is successfully applied today in many businesses - in sales, marketing, training, coaching, leadership, customer service, advertising, PR, creative design, market research and of course HR. Get in touch to learn more about the many ways NLP can help you and your organisation.
